This is a 6 MW extraction-condensing steam turbine generator set, manufactured by Belliss India Ltd in 2000. The turbine, model HEN-22, operates with an inlet steam pressure of 44 kg/cm⊃2; at a temperature of 420°C, delivering 6000 kW of power. It has an exhaust pressure maintained at a vacuum of 0.12 ATA and operates at a high speed of 8500 RPM. The turbine supports an extraction pressure range of 4 to 7 kg/cm⊃2;, with a bleed quantity of 11 TPH and can send between 24 to 30 TPH of steam to the condenser. The associated gearbox, made by Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd, has a gear ratio of 5.76:1, converting the turbine's 8600 RPM input speed to 1500 RPM output for the alternator. The alternator, made by Toyo Denki Japan through Kirloskar Electric Co., operates at 1500 RPM, produces 11 kV, and utilizes an air-cooling system supported by a cooling tower. This setup is engineered for high-efficiency power generation with precise control of steam flow and pressure.
